I was born and raised in a small town across the Mississippi river from Baton Rouge, where I met Terry while attending LSU (Geaux Tigers)

If you are confused about the background to this picture I just want to point out that this is not Louisiana :) This is a picture from a remote area in Central Asia.

Terry and I were married in May of 1985 and then at the end of the summer moved to Tallahassee Florida where I finished an undergraduate degree in Music Therapy and Terry finished her Master's degree in Vocal Performance. After we graduated we moved to Fort Worth, TX where I pursued a Master's degree in church music, finishing that degree in 1990. We then served two churches in Louisiana and then God called us to full time missions overseas in Central Asia.

We landed in Central Asia in January of 1999 and served there for 12 years before returning to the states. We then moved to England a few years later to continue serving in missions, primarily in the role of pastoral care for the missionaries in our region.

We again returned back to the states in 2016 where I served as pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Poncha Spring, led worship at Mountain Heights when Joe Chambers was pastor, and then drove a school bus for the Salida school district. I did all three jobs simultaneously,  so you might say I was a tri-vocational pastor at that time. I served only about a year and a half in that capacity then moved to a church in Florida for two and a half years before returning oversees as missionaries back to Central Asia.

We finished our work overseas in October of 2025 and moved back to Chaffee County where we have the privilege of living with Terry's mom. In November Mountain Heights asked if I would be the interim pastor and so I served as interim for four months until I officially become the pastor back in February of 2026.

We have three children who grew up overseas and are all married and live in the states. More importantly, we have six grandchildren who we love spending time with when we get the chance.
